The Barbara Barrett Collection to be Auctioned Off to Benefit the REH House Restoration Fund!
Barbara Barrett was one of the REH Foundation’s original Legacy Circle members back in 2006. She assisted the Foundation on occasion, and became a champion for REH’s poetry. Upon her passing, she asked that her REH collection be donated to the REH Foundation. We have received her collection, and have decided to auction off the more special items to raise money for the REH House Restoration Fund.

Please find attached the list of what we are going to sell off on eBay. We are hoping to start putting these on eBay May 9, and have all them loaded by a few days thereafter. All will be seven-day auctions, no Buy It Now pricing! Remember, 100% of these funds will be going to the costs for restoring the Howard House.
As all these items are currently in Texas, for anyone that wants to pick up a winning bid at REH Days, they will need to let us know, else everything will ship Priority. For US sales in excess of $100, we will cover shipping. For less than $100, we will charge a flat rate of $20 for shipping, and combine winning bids in a single box, where practical. For non-US sales, shipping will be charged at whatever it costs. We will NOT cover duties or other costs at the receiving country. For the big collection of REHFP books, those will ship UPS, at our cost.

All REHFP first editions were limited to 300 copies total. First printings ranged from 50 to 300 copies, most typically 100-200. Almost all these volumes are in excellent unread condition, save for a few faint bumps in shipping. For Collected Letters and Collected Poetry, these were well read, but for even those, the jackets have been replaced, if needed, and those books themselves are unmarked and in F-VF condition.
Individual volumes from the first editions rarely come up for sale, in any printing, and when they do they sell for hundreds of dollars per book. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to acquire a complete set of First Edition, First Printing of the entire print run in excellent condition.
The minimum bid will be $6000 ($250/book). If not sold at this price or better, then the volumes will then be separated and sold off one at a time.
